"…Dr. Philbert Aaron represented Dominica's interest fearlessly, but diligently. His success is not only evident by the many projects and programs received by Dominica, but by his skill and tact in coordinating at the policy and implementation levels, all related activities whether they are regional, hemispheric, interdepartmental or among the local stakeholders in an effort to bring them to fruition. " - Ambassador Steve Ferrol, Secretary to Cabinet of Dominica

ABOUT THE BOOK

The Eastern Caribbean Political Power Playbook: 10 Strategies Behind PM Skerrit's Success offers an unprecedented deep dive into the political mastery of Dominica’s longest-serving leader, Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit. Drawing from historical context, regional politics, and real-life case studies, the book unveils the ten core strategies that propelled Skerrit to maintain political excellence in one of the Caribbean’s most dynamic democracies.

From grassroots mobilization and strategic alliances to media mastery and economic diplomacy, each chapter breaks down a strategy in clear, compelling detail, showing how Skerrit’s political instincts and calculated moves shaped Dominica’s trajectory. Readers are taken behind the scenes of landmark elections, high-stakes negotiations, and regional power plays that cemented Skerrit’s influence both at home and across the Eastern Caribbean.

This playbook is more than a political memoir, it’s a leadership blueprint for aspiring politicians, strategists, and observers of Caribbean politics. Whether you admire or critique his leadership, The Eastern Caribbean Political Power Playbook provides rare insights into how power is acquired, maintained, and leveraged in small-state politics.
